Ewan Day-Collins

Head of Programme and Business Development

Ewan is Head of Programme and Business Development at Depaul International. He rejoined the team in 2022 – the third time he had worked for Depaul by the age of 25, which is definitely some kind of record. He first joined Depaul as a student intern, before becoming an entry-level programmes team member after his graduation. He returned at the outset of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine to manage the beginning of and scaling of Depaul’s response. He began his current role in mid-2023, working with partners and funders across the world to develop and manage new programmes for people experiencing homelessness.

In between his stints at Depaul, Ewan worked as Monitoring and Evaluation Lead for a global education charity, and in business development at St Mungo’s. He started in the homelessness sector as a volunteer outreach worker and, until recently, still did occasional shifts with Thames Reach in London. He grew up in London, leaving briefly to study history at Cambridge University.

Outside of work, Ewan is a Trustee. He previously chaired the Catholic youth agency Million Minutes. He also plays in jazz and salsa bands and has a season ticket at AFC Wimbledon.
