We are very grateful to Eastpak, the luggage company, for kindly supporting Depaul’s work with homeless single mothers in east Ukraine. Eastpak’s support will cover running costs at our Korotich project for 8 months next year.
Korotich provides a home for 12 single mums and their kids. If Depaul did not provide a home, the mothers would lose their children, who would be placed in state orphanages. Some of our mums are fleeing the conflict in east Ukraine, others have experienced family breakdown or addiction.
Eastpak’s generous gift comes in partnership with the Smiley Movement, which matches organisations looking to do good with charities.
