Depaul International Chief Executive Ian Brady has joined the UK Government’s Rough Sleeping Advisory Panel. The Panel meet biannually to advise the government on how to meet its target of halving rough sleeping by 2022 and ending it by 2027.
Ian joins leaders from the homelessness sector as well as local authorities and international experts. Ian brings his decades of experience in working to end homelessness to the Panel. Before joining Depaul International, Ian worked in the civil service including as head of Delivery in the Rough Sleepers Unit, which cut rough sleeping by two-thirds in two years in the early 2000s.
Depaul UK is highlighting the impact of the rise in rough sleeping on young people, including through the Life on the Streets campaign.
