A massive thank you to the cub scouts of the Bury and Pulborough packs in West Sussex for raising a brilliant £270 for Depaul International last weekend. The cubs helped to pack shoppers’ bags in the local Tesco in return for donations to help homeless people across the world.
The local MP Nick Herbert turned up to show his support. He said: ‘This was a really great initiative by the cubs. They decided who they wanted to raise money for and how they were going to do that. They have worked hard today to help shoppers and to raise money which will support the wonderful work which Depaul undertakes for the homeless.’
The £270 raised can pay for over 100 homeless people in Ukraine to get a safe and warm bed for the night. Thanks from all of us at Depaul International for the fantastic effort!
