A big THANK YOU to all our Depaul International sleepers who slept out at Lord’s Cricket Ground to help raise funds for the work of Depaul International in the UK and overseas. Together with sleepers fundraising for Depaul UK we have raised a magnificant total of over £75,000 with further donations still being received.
Around 50 business leaders, senior executives and politicians were given an insight into some of the daily challenges faced by people without a home.
The annual event, held on Monday, 31 October, was the biggest CEO Sleepout London to date.
Vincentian homelessness charity Depaul attracted individuals and company teams from Centrus Advisors, Farrar & Co and Masthaven Bank among others and a host of MPs, David Mackintosh, David Burrowes, Adam Holloway and Stephen Hammond, and Peers Lord Oates, Baroness Suttie, Baroness Grender and Baroness Jenkin.
Kate Donaghy, an Ambassador for Depaul International, raised more than £13,700. Merryck & Co’s Annette Court raised over £6,000.
Depaul International sleeper Jason Eades, the charity’s Senior Partnerships Manager, said: “Sleeping out, even at Lord’s, is never an easy thing to do. I am so proud of all our sleepers for giving up their beds for the night to raise funds to help the homeless in the UK and overseas, where we support more than 20,000 people, young and old, each year.”
Funds raised will help to support homeless people within Depaul’s services in the UK and overseas.
