We are delighted to announce that Depaul International’s BBC Radio 4 Appeal raised £8,400. Thanks to all those who generously donated.

The proceeds go towards Depaul’s services in Ukraine, which help thousands of men, women and children living on the streets of the country’s three largest cities.

The appeal was broadcast in October and read by our trustee Dame Louise Casey. It told the story of Lina and Sasha, a young mother and baby forced to flee conflict in east Ukraine who ended up homeless on the streets of Kharkiv. Their story of trauma, homelessness and hope reached over 2 million listeners.

You can read this impact blog on the BBC website to learn more about how the money has helped those living on the streets of Ukraine.
