New Depaul UK Chief Executive

Mike Thiedke today begins as Chief Executive of Depaul UK. He joins Depaul from the children’s rights charity Plan International, where he was Director of Public Engagement. He has over 13 years’ experience in senior management positions in the third sector and previously worked at ActionAid and the United Nations.

Mark McGreevy, Depaul Group CEO, said: ‘I am delighted that Mike joins the Depaul family as the new CEO of Depaul UK. He brings a wealth of management experience in the third sector and a commitment to changing the lives of young people. I am confident that under Mike’s leadership Depaul UK will continue to expand and improve its services for homeless young people, as we enter our thirtieth year of service.’

 

Mike Thiedke said: ‘I am hugely excited to become the next CEO of Depaul UK, an organisation that has tirelessly, passionately and very effectively worked with and for the most disadvantaged young people in the UK to help end youth homelessness.’

Depaul UK helps over 3,000 young homeless people each year through a range of services across the country. Founded almost thirty years ago, Depaul UK was the first member of the Depaul Group which now has subsidiary charities across Europe and the USA fighting homelessness.

Mike Thiedke succeeds Martin Houghton-Brown, who moved to become CEO of St John Ambulance.
