Depaul Ukraine celebrated its tenth year of operation this week, marking a decade of service to homeless and marginalised people.
Events were held over three days, attended by staff, supporters and clients. Depaul Group CEO Mark McGreevy flew out for the anniversary, and the Bishop of Kharkiv Fr Stanislav Shirokoradyuk gave a speech recognising the importance of Depaul Ukraine’s work.
Over the past ten years, Depaul Ukraine has grown from one van helping the street children of Kharkiv to a national organisation supporting over 9,500 people each year across four regions. Its services now include daycentres, outreach, medical treatment, legal advice and an orphanage.
This growth has always been underpinned by the values at the heart of Depaul: to serve the very poorest in an effective way and with compassion.
