Now in its seventh year, and in 2017 taking place between 23 September and 1 October, Depaul International Week gives our service users, staff and volunteers the opportunity to plan activities in their projects celebrating the international aspect of our services operating around the world.  In the past we have had service users from Ukraine talking to service users in Depaul shelters in Ireland, or from the UK talking to those in the USA.  Clients in the UK have held a football tournament with participants playing in teams from all of the countries in which we run services – the 2016 winners were the team representing the USA!

Whatever homelessness situation clients find themselves in, it has been a thought-provoking way to communicate around the Group of charities and find a shared sense of solidarity.  Many of our accommodation projects in past years have served meals with an international flavour, another great way to get people together round the table.

We wish everyone a really happy week of activities and look forward to hearing more about them.
